Thanksgiving is coming up and for me that means eating a lot! It’s time to enjoy the seasonal foods like squashes, apples, and pumpkin spice flavoured everything. Don’t forget the turkey dinner! Pass the mashed potatoes and gravy!
More seriously, though, Thanksgiving is about getting together with your family and appreciating that you have each other. Be thankful for what you have and enjoy the company! For a lot of people, it’s the first time they’ve been able to visit family since Labour Day. It’s an important time of year!
As the leaves change colour and the weather gets colder, it’s easy to get a little bit sad and miss the summertime, but on Thanksgiving we can be thankful for everything we have. We are grateful for all the good things that happened in the past year, and we look forward to more good times.
Bringing a Thanksgiving gift basket or dessert to the get-together is always a good idea, because the host who holds the dinner has to do so much work! Hopefully then you’ll get invited back next year!
