YES, THE SUPER BOWL

Super Bowl is coming up this Sunday, and I couldn’t be more excited. To be honest, I’m not too sure which teams are playing—that’s really for my husband and son to know. My favorite part is the food. I LOVE Super Bowl food. It gives me an excuse to totally go off my diet and splurge on amazing full-fat foods. I always make too much food so I have the excuse to eat more. It would be a shame if it all went to waste?

Every year I make awesome classic Super Bowl foods. Hearty and warm chili, five-layer dip (guac, sour cream, cheese, beans, and more cheese) with tortilla chips, and of course, burgers and fries. It’s awesome!!! Everyone comes over to the house and pigs out on awesome food while watching the game.

But, this Super Bowl, I’m trying to shake things up. I’m getting a little bit sick of the classic foods and I want to try new stuff. I’ve decided to make cheesy garlic bread as an appetizer. But then as another appetizer, I’m going to a make a cheese and spinach dip with tortilla chips.  Then, for main course, I’m going to bake ribs in the oven, smother them with sauce, and then throw them on the barbecue. They’ll be irresistible and totally fall-off-the-bone. And, for dessert, I’m going to make chocolate cupcakes with vanilla icing. That’s what I like to call the perfect Super Bowl Menu!

There really is nothing better then getting together with your friends and family for the super bowl. Life gets busy and we often don’t have time to get together with loved ones. Spending time during the Super Bowl game with other football fans and football foodies is a great way to do it!
